Privacy notice
Handover is operated by Bharath R (Bubbletech), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (“we”). This notice explains what personal data we process, why, and your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email address, optional phone number, role and language.
- Tenancy records: agreement terms, the parties’ names, emails, phone numbers and postal addresses, rent and deposit amounts.
- Inspection evidence: photos and videos of the property, capture time, device location at capture, and file hashes.
- Maintenance issues, settlement offers, signatures (time and document hash) and payment status.
- Security records: sign-in times, IP address, browser type, and an audit log of signatures, exports and account changes.
Why we use it
Only to run the service you asked for: create and sign agreements, produce inspection and comparison reports, record maintenance, support settlement, generate evidence packs and Rental Passports, take payment, and keep accounts secure. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Consent
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account in Settings. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers that act on our instructions: cloud hosting and database, encrypted file storage, an email delivery provider for sign-in codes, an AI provider (DeepInfra) that analyses inspection photos to draft condition reports, and Cashfree Payments for payments. Photos sent for analysis are used only to produce your report and are not used to train AI models. Photos and videos are encrypted before storage.
The other party
A tenancy record is shared between its tenant and landlord (and the managing business, where one is named). Each party can see the agreement, inspection evidence, issues and settlement for that tenancy.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Signed agreements, signed inspection reports and their evidence are kept for eight years after the tenancy ends, because both parties may rely on them in a dispute. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires. Unsigned drafts are deleted when you delete your account.
Your rights
You can access and download your data, correct it, and ask us to erase it from Settings or by emailing us. When you delete your account we remove your profile and sign-in details. Records already signed by another party are kept for the retention period above, with your account marked as deleted. You may nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become incapable.
Children
Handover is for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.
Security
Sign-in uses one-time email codes. Sessions can be revoked from Settings. Files are encrypted at rest and every access to tenancy files requires a signed-in party to that tenancy.
Grievances
Contact our grievance officer, Bharath R, at info@bubbletech.in. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
